Overview
Umami is a genuinely MIT-licensed, self-hostable analytics platform — no licence trap, no seat maths — and its REST API is the reason it belongs in an agentic stack: an agent can pull realtime sessions, pageviews and reports to compile a content-performance digest without anyone logging in. It ships no AI features of its own. Self-hosting is a Docker-and-a-database evening, which is the real cost; a hosted cloud version exists but its site is JavaScript-rendered and its current tier limits could not be confirmed from a primary source at the time of writing, so check pricing directly before committing. Two community MCP servers exist, neither official.
